Bebeah Gate

Limited Edition of 50
Framed by sandstone posts and wrought-iron arches, the red-painted Bebeah Gate stands sentinel at the entrance to Bebeah Gardens in Mount Wilson, New South Wales, Australia. Originally part of an expansive estate created in 1880 by Edward Cox, the gardens unfold behind this gate across 12 acres, with sweeping vistas, aged trees, careful landscaping, and a sense of timelessness.
The name ‘Bebeah’ is thought to come from an Aboriginal word meaning ‘a place where stone axes are found’ — a reminder of the landscape’s deeper roots. In autumn especially, the gate’s weathered textures, iron scrolls, and rich, amber foliage beyond make it a focal point of beauty, history, and reverie.
